Description:
New Work by Members of the Texas Sculpture Group

July 28-August 26, 2017
Opening Reception, Friday, July 28, 6-9pm

This exhibition is open to all members of the Texas Sculpture Group. Both interior and exterior work can be exhibited and should be recent, within the last four years. Since this is the Texas Sculpture Groups’ annual membership exhibition, it will not be curated by an invited curator, but you will need to submit images with titles, prices, sizes and media.

Artspace 111:
Since its inception in 1980, Artspace111 has evolved into a dynamic contemporary art gallery located on the outskirts of downtown Fort Worth. The gallery is dedicated to making contemporary art approachable to individuals of all ages.

The gallery is approximately 4,000 square feet with two outdoor sculpture gardens. The gallery walls are 9 feet high.
*It is important to mention that access to the exterior/garden area is limited—there is a ramp that allows work to be wheeled in, but the outdoor ramp is only 4 feet wide. The gallery front doors are 8 feet wide. The outside area does not have a ramp that goes directly into the sculpture garden; however, the gallery people have built make shift ramps in the past and have been able to move large pieces into the sculpture garden. They have also had a crane drop work into the exterior area.

The gallery will require a 50% commission on any sale. All work is insured for the duration of the exhibition. The gallery will provide an email campaign of over 3,000 contacts, over 6,000 Facebook contacts and a postcard mailer of 450+. Postcards will be sent to each artist exhibiting for direct mailing. The gallery will also take out ads in the Arts and Culture and in 360 West, a local magazine.

What to Submit:
Each artist is limited to a single piece for the inside gallery and /or up to two pieces that can be installed outside. This number is due to the space availability of both areas and the fact that most of our members work is exhibited in an interior space. There is no size limitation, but the space and total number of submissions will be taken into consideration. Therefore, when submitting images, it may be advantageous to submit varying sizes of work. The exhibition committee will make final decisions based on space parameters.

Upload images of up to three works for the interior space and/or three for the exterior space. You may send three images per work. If your work comes with a pedestal include it in the entry image of the work and inform us that it will have a pedestal.
Upload images to the Submittables link.

Video, Sound or Other Media:
Submit up to three works with up to 3 images of the work or drawings and/or video or sound files (no longer than 3 minutes please). Written materials that assist in describing the work may accompany, if applicable. Submit through Submittable.

Proposals for Installations or Performance:
Use the same guidelines as above. You may submit images of past similar work, drawings, video, etc. of past work if you are proposing something that is not yet realized.
